The just wrapped up Mexican fashion-centric event Desfilia, which was held in the style savvy city of Guadalajara, highlighted an array of exquisite clothing collections from the rising and famous local talents.

Inspired from yesteryear’s Mexican film actress María Félix, designer Jalisco Benito Santos created his latest collection Splendor. Made using silk, velvet, feathers and sequins, the glittering range featured classic padded shouldered peplums with playful necklines and mermaid cut skirts.

Designer Alejandro Carlin opted to showcase his black and gold accented red and sand colour-based line whereas Abel Lopez chose to display a London ballet-inspired gray smoke, coffee and red hued collection, replete with sporty and futuristic details on waist emphasizing feminine silhouettes, at the event.

Alfredo Martínez presented his avant-garde synthetic fibre crafted Fall/Winter 2014-2015 collection, based on a palette of black and white with pops of yellow, and fashion talent Lorena Saravia featured a very feminine, asymmetrically cut, leather heavy black and navy coloured collection, peppered with wine and earthy tones, at the soiree.

Guadalajara-based designer sisters Julia and Renata showcased a highly experimental straight cut collection in shades of nude and pink.
