Nishka Lulla crafts 'Flyaway' capsule line for Lancôme

Lancôme hosted a beauty and fashion soiree to announce their exciting collaboration with young and talented fashion designer, Nishka Lulla. The event was held to celebrate the launch of Lancôme’s latest foundation, Miracle Air De Teint, for which Nishka designed a capsule collection called ‘Flyaway’. The special limited edition pieces were unveiled on May 22nd, 2014 at ‘Spices’, JW Marriott Mumbai.

As light as air, Miracle Air De Teint comprises of ‘miracle particles’ that create a new vision of nude, perfection that is absolute yet undetectable. For the first time, Lancôme utilizes the outstanding soft-focus power of Blur technology, to blur imperfections without ever covering them. Its unique ability to backscatter light creates a remarkable blurring effect instantly leaving the complexion transparently evened out – radiant and light.

Influential fashion bloggers and stylists, Malini Agarwal, Sherry Shroff, Aanam Chasmawala, Antara Motiwala and Shereen Sikka, came together to unveil Nishka’s collection, which has been created in keeping with the essence of Lancome’s ‘Miracle Air De Teint’. Along with Nishka herself, they sported the gorgeous ensembles in light, wispy fabrics and easy silhouettes. The ethereal symbol of the brand, Lancôme’s rose, has been used as a special motif on the pieces.

Other guests at the event included, Pallavi Sharda, Shaheen Abbas, Kadambari Lakhani, Priyanka Bose and Alesia Raut, amongst others.

The brunch witnessed a gathering of ‘Cointreauversial’ guests sipping stylish Cointreau cocktails such as Cointreaupolitan, Diabolic Cointreaupolitan, Cointreau Fizz and Cointreau Fizz Strawberry / Mint.

The event was held at ‘Spices’, JW Marriott Mumbai’s authentic South East Asian restaurant offering exotic Thai and Japanese cuisine and set against the backdrop of the hotel’s salt water pool. For the well-honed palate Spices also has a Sushi bar and a Teppanyaki counter.
