Betsey Johnson unveils activewear line

American fashion designer Betsey Johnson has finally unveiled her much awaited activewear collection inspired from her fall 2013 runway show titled BJ Kicks A.
 
Based primarily in the 71-year-old’s all time favourite colour pink, the range is a balanced mixture of both performance and style.
 
According to WWD, the line is enhanced with fishnets, peplum cuts, bows, jacquard patterns and corset piping details.
 
The fall 2014 collection includes nylon spandex made leggings, heat-retaining zip-up jackets and sweat-free T-shirts. 
 
The range will be available in Nordstrom stores as well as Nordstrom.com, Macy’s website and the designer’s own site.
 
The New York Fashion Week designer’s fall 2013 catwalk parade showcased models, clad in about 20 activewear pieces, doing crunches, push-ups and other gym exercises. 
 
The Betsey Johnson label specializes in women’s apparel, legwear, swimwear and outerwear. The brand is sold in nearly 2,000 specialty stores as well as leading department stores like Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Macy’s.
 
Since 2004, Betsey Johnson LLC has expanded its product offerings through more than a dozen licensing agreements.
