Manish Malhotra named LFW Winter's Grand Finale designer

Lakmé, India’s most iconic beauty brand, announced Manish Malhotra as the Grand Finale designer for Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014 to be held from August 20th to 24th at Palladium, Mumbai.

Being a fashion visionary, over the last decade, Manish’s designs have taken Bollywood’s fashion quotient to the highest levels and at the season finale of LFW WF 2014, this fashion visionary promises glitz and glamour. Taking his bridal trousseau forte to the next level Manish will join forces with the Lakmé make-up maestro, Cory Walia and create the Lakmé Absolute Bridal Dream Team.

A self-taught designer, Manish has been the force behind introducing ‘styling’ as we know today, to the world of Bollywood. From his inherent fascination for movies, glamour and colour, to creating a niche for himself as a Bollywood stylist/ Costume Designer and to now being one of the most influential designers in the country, Manish’s path to success is truly inimitable.

His ability to envision a look for the character, true-to life yet creative, has earned him much recognition. Manish marked his first milestone in styling with the first ever Filmfare award for Costume Designing in 1995.

“This is my fourth finale at LFW and I am as thrilled as I was the first time. This platform is one of biggest celebrations of fashion that brings forth the best in design, beauty, fashion and Bollywood making it every designer’s dream showcase. This season, I will be showcasing Lakmé Absolute’s bridal trousseau and I look forward to re-inventing my style inspired by Lakmé Absolute.” said Manish Malhotra, Grand Finale Designer for LFW WF 2014.
