A talented group of seven Pakistani fashion and accessory designers showcased their avant-garde collections at the just held edition of Fashion Parade 2014, a fashion forward, promotional and networking platform for Pakistan-based designers in London.

The event was opened by the noted design name Faiza Samee who showcased a bohemian collection that featured block print palazzos as well as floating, printed and long-fitted embroidered jackets.

Designer Ayesha Farook Hashwani presented a glittering fusion range which included heavily-embellished capes, tapered pants, beautiful gowns, embroidered kimono-sleeved jackets and exquisite lace trousers.

Austrian Symbolist painter Gustav Klimt’s most talked about painting ‘The Kiss’ played as muse for Seher Tareen’s latest edgy leather heavy line that displayed tunics, jackets and dresses in vibrant canary yellow, pewter and black tones.

Multi-designer store Aashni and Co presented a very feminine and sophisticated collection designed by Anamika Khanna. Based in soft hues of grey and black with occasional dash of pop colours, the lace incorporated range featured fitted jackets, sharara-styled pants and dhoti trousers.

Designer Zara Shahjahan opted to show her ‘Love Bug’ collection, replete with minimalistic cuts, cockroach prints and bug embellishments in soothing pastels and neon accents, whereas
Nomi Ansari closed the event with his metallic infused line which included unique peplum top and flowing lehenga combos.

Jointly organized by Pakistan’s well-known event management company Mustang Productions and public relations agency Encyclomedia PR, the event was attended by the British Fashion Council Head of Event Josef Jammerbund, media head Anna Orsin and leading members of Pakistani, Indian and British businesses, and fashion community representatives.
