IWED 2014 to show bridal designs from new & known talents

Several young and seasoned bridal wear designers will showcase their eclectic clothing creations at the upcoming seventh edition of International Wedding Exhibition & Fashion Show Doha (IWED), a one-stop destination for finding solution to all wedding related woes in Qatar.

Due to be held from June 18 to 21, 2014, the event would aim to promote the Qatari industry as one of the major luxury markets in the Middle East by staging a high profile luxury wedding exhibition as well as a string of glitzy fashion shows.

The soiree will serve as a business platform for the designers and retailers to network with key industry players who are interested in the latest trends and seek to remain at the forefront of all new developments.

Supported by the Qatar Tourism Authority, the four-day exhibition will display menswear, childrenswear, eveningwear, and bridal dresses and lingerie by exhibitors from Qatar, Italy, Greece, the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Bahrain, India and Egypt.

Renowned Lebanese couturier Fadi Nahle will be the Guest of Honour at the soiree. Known for his exquisitely crafted Oriental and European womenswear lines, the designer will present a collection at an exclusive fashion show on the inaugural day of the event.

In addition to regular catwalk parades, the fashion extravaganza will also host the emerging designers’ competition Steps, which will see both haute couture and bridal creations from several young design participants.

Other than the fashion design experts, the IWED 2014 will also be attended by beauty care experts, wedding planners, florists and other wedding service providers.
