The fifth and final day of the 14th edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion came to an end with catwalk creations from both young and seasoned talents belonging to the Spanish autonomous community of Catalonia.

Juanma by El Cuco label’s designer Juanma Granero Fernández presented a harmonious amalgamation of geometric shapes, volumes, simple lines and optical illusionary prints through his collection Dichotomy which included several futuristic womenswear ensembles for the spring-summer 2015 season in shades of burnt yellow, white and blue.

London’s Central Saint Martins’ grad Pablo Erroz drew inspiration from the constant evolution of life for his Number 7 collection which featured both men’s and women’s fashion ensembles. Made using high tech materials replete with technological finishes, the cotton, twill, double and textured neoprene and leather crafted pieces, such as maxi dresses and oversized knitwear, were based in structured clean cut silhouettes in a palette of off-white, navy, orange, brown and black hues.

The Barcelonan leather and knitwear specialist Torras, in collaboration with Juanma by El Cuco label’s Juanma Granero Fernández, created the menswear collection Avant Garde. Inspired from the artworks of legendary artists like Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and Gustav Klimt, the range was adorned with geometric patterns, and floral and paisley prints in tones of orange, red and ocean blue. Crafted mostly from leather with a mix of some lightweight fabrics, the sportswear style line included jackets, rolled up shorts and casual button downs.

The Catalan fashion label Scalpers, from designer Rafael de Medina, showcased an interesting menswear line comprised of clothes for different occasions. Divided in three major looks—dandy, gentleman sport and safari traveller—the linen, denim and cotton heavy collection included classic herringbone suits and shirts, casual jackets and tailored shorts in coral, blue, sand and raspberry colours.
