ISKO announces winners of ISKO I-SKOOL contests

After months of intensive work, on the 9th of July ISKO and partners announced the winners of the two ISKO I-SKOOL contests – one for designers and one for marketing professionals – which the international denim leader conceived to foster young talents’ creativity by offering true expertise and interesting workshops to teach them valuable insights about the most revolutionary fabric now in use.
 
The winning garments were showcased on mannequins creating a collection of exclusive fashion denim outfits, together with the MOLESKINE notebooks they used during these past months to shape their ideas and inspirations through sketches and drafts.
 
Denim Marketing Award -
Winner: the team led by Roberta Lafosse Magli, Sapienza University, who worked together with Chiara Manes and Nicoletta Pelliccia. These “top-class” young talents will be offered internships in some of the partner companies of I-SKOOL, thus becoming true players in the denim industry themselves, and will be the protagonist of a Fashion Show during the ISKOTM event that will take place on 18th July in Treviso (Italy).
 
Within Denim Design Award - 
 
Authentic Mood
Winner: Ruhi Tamer Cogal from Istituto Marangoni, who proposed an authentic workwear mood interpreted in a modern way, with garments rich in interesting details such as patching and knitted collars.
 
Fashion Mood
Winner: Tanya Dimitrova Kancheva from University of the Arts-Chelsea College of Arts. She created an trendy jumpsuit design with a very wearable style and innovative details such as the laser-cut knee and pockets.
 
Future Mood
Winner: Sabrina Stadlober from ESMOD Munich, proposing an innovative and out-of the-box style, with multifunctional garments that give an interesting sense of fun.
 
Recycling Mood
Winner: Irem Barkan from IMA - Istanbul Moda Academy. She created very wearable styles that demonstrate a strong sense of craftsmanship, with waste materials that were used to create an entirely new style.
 
Best Wash Contest:
Winner: Christina Nahler from ESMOD Munich. Her style showed a multitude of different techniques including scraping, painting, repairing and destroying.
 
Swarovski Contest
Winner: Ilaria Marianna Tomasella from Istituto Marangoni, able to produce many different combinations of coloured crystals and embroidery that created a true 3D mood.
 
Isko Special Prize
Winners: Beth Gillings Pattison and Francisco Sanchez from London College of Fashion, who developed the best design in terms of using different combinations of ISKO fabrics.
