Roland Mouret, the French fashion designer known for his female form flattering chic ensembles, has collaborated with the Californian clothier Banana Republic to create a limited-edition capsule collection.

Made from the retailer’s bi-stretch Sloan cotton fabrics, the new line features several office-appropriate apparels based in the designer’s signature hourglass silhouettes.

Slated to be launched online on August 7, 2014, the range includes cropped sweaters with contrasting cuffs, sharply tailored cigarette pants, pencil skirts, body-hugging sheath dresses and tops with delicate lace sleeves.

Founded in 1978, Banana Republic is a mainstream luxury clothing retailer, which owns over 600 stores worldwide. The company is a separate business division operated by the California-based largest specialty apparel retailer The Gap, Inc.

A regular participant in the Paris fashion weeks, Mouret was recently being picked up by the online luxury fashion retailer Net-A-Porter to be a part of its environment-friendly capsule collection venture with sustainable fashion supporting project Green Carpet Challenge (GCC).

The web store’s ethical range featured two pieces each from a set of five London-based leading designers, such as Christopher Bailey (the Chief Creative Officer of Burberry), Victoria Beckham, Scottish-born talent Christopher Kane, Erdem Moralioglu and French designer Roland Mouret.
