The just wrapped up instalment of Omaha Fashion Week showcased a wide variety of innovative Spring/Summer 2015 apparel designs from both established and rising labels.
The event was divided into several runway showcases which featured bridal, swimwear, avant-garde and childrenswear from names like Aubrey Sookam’s Moarkoos Modern Designs, KKINI by Michaela Cawley, Jessica Lynn (Jacklynn), Maximillian Suiter (Max Millian), Kristen Van Hessche, Claire Landolt and Dan Richters.The just wrapped up instalment of Omaha Fashion Week showcased a wide variety of innovative Spring/Summer 2015 apparel designs from both established #
The six-day soiree also highlighted various adventurous yet functional pieces in its ready-to-wear segment which was staged by the likes of Michelle Dunn and Younkers brand owner Andrea Sanderlin.
The segment’s major attractions included a 1950’s mod style collection by Wallflower label’s designer duo Erica Cardenas and Bryan Frost. Drawing inspiration from the European post-World War II pop looks and Omaha-based St. Cecilia Cathedral, the line was replete with coloured vinyl and patterns of stained glass windows.
Designer SuShe by J. Tracy’s brand Juantiesha Christian displayed a New York-inspired line which included brick pattern overalls and skirts as well as an off-shoulder outfit whereas Quinton Lovelace showcased blue short-sleeved dresses and zippered bottoms.
The event also presented lines of elegant sparkling eveningwear pieces from Lauren Birkentall, Adrienne Anderson, Bertiher de la Cruz, Alesha Johnson and Younkers.
Designer Kate Walz featured a green and white ballroom gown paired with metallic silver coloured half-sleeve gloves while AFIELDA label’s designer Elda Doamekpo opt to showcase her purple floral print heavy range.
Designer Fella Vaughn highlighted a 1960’s and 1970’s inspired pink dress with a shimmering orange drapery at the back and fashion talent Bridget Mahoney showed a silver shoulder accented white cocktail dress at the event.
