Kohl's releases Elie Tahari-designed fall DesigNation line

The Israeli-American luxury fashion designer Elie Tahari has been signed on by the US-based department store chain Kohl’s to create a limited-edition fall collection under its collaborative design venture DesigNation, a concept which features premier designer fashion based on international inspiration.
Replete with the designer’s signature modern, feminine and sophisticated aesthetics, the just released capsule line is inspired by the cool, chic styles of the New York City. Made using delicate, luxurious fabrics with subtle textures, the exclusive affordable range includes dresses, sweaters, knit tops in flattering cuts and blue, black and ivory shades.
Kohl’s CEO, President and Chairman, Kevin Mansell, revealed in a statement, “As part of our new Greatness Agenda we are excited to introduce new product assortments that excite our current customers and inspire new audiences to take a fresh look at Kohl’s. That’s why we are proud to partner with Elie Tahari, a fashion icon, to deliver a wearable, affordable and fashionable designer collection of versatile pieces that women will keep in their closets for years to come.”
Designer Elie Tahari also echoed the sentiments, “I am thrilled to partner with Kohl’s to create an accessible collection that draws influence from the city that inspires the rest of the world – New York City. Our focus was on bringing the best quality product to customers, fashion-wise, fit-wise and price-wise and I am so proud of the results.”
Tahari is the fifth designer for Kohl’s DesigNation, which was launched in fall 2012 with Narciso Rodriguez, followed by Derek Lam in spring 2013, Catherine Malandrino in fall 2013 and Peter Som in spring 2014.
Known for its modern sophisticated designs with understated grace and elegance, the Elie Tahari brand maintains a global presence on five continents through a network of more than 600 stores. The company has free standing boutiques in cities like New York, Las Vegas, Boston, Atlanta, East Hampton, Boca Raton and Dallas as well as internationally in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Founded in 1962, Kohl’s, which specializes in clothing, bedding, house and beauty products from both national and international brands, operates more than 1,160 stores in 49 states. (PB)
