The Italian fashion accessories specialist Furla, in association with Peruvian fashion photographer Mario Testino, is set to undergo a new creative image makeover.

The family-owned company has roped in the well-known photographer to shoot its forthcoming Spring/Summer 2015 advertisement campaign which will be rolled out to all marketing platforms, including point of sales, media and web.

Commenting on the collaboration, Eraldo Poletto, CEO of Furla, said, “This is a very exciting and positive time for the brand. We are proud to begin this partnership with such a great artist like Mario Testino. His creativity will project Furla to the next level of its global evolution.”

Mario Testino also expressed his delight over the partnership in a statement, “Furla is about energy, life and colors. When I look at the product, I imagine whoever is wearing it is having a great time. It’s a great journey we are beginning together.”

The media-neutral 360-degree creative project will not only set the tone of voice and communication codes of the brand but will also reflect its colourful, joyful and contagious Italian lifestyle mood that reflects from the label’s iconic and novelty products.

The campaign’s lively and dynamic images will be seen in media and outdoor displays, store windows, web catalogues, videos, social media platforms and PR communications.

This new challenge is the first initiative of a strong and focused marketing strategy, aimed at bringing Furla into the next level of its international growth.

The S/S collection includes an array of colourful handbags, clutches and backpacks in a bright neo pop palette.

Founded in 1927, headquartered in Bologna, Italy, Furla specialises in Italian-designed products that range from handbags and shoes to accessories. The company has five subsidiaries in US, France, Japan, Hong Kong and Korea.

A favourite of celebrities like Kate Moss and the late Lady Diana, Mario Testino’s works are regularly being featured in the issues of Vogue and Vanity Fair. (PB)
