International luxury fashion and lifestyle brand Stefano Ricci has opened its maiden flagship store in India.

The Italian label has recently unveiled a sprawling 2500 square feet boutique in the upscale south Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.

Speaking about the launch to the media, the brand’s namesake Florentine designer Stefano Ricci said, “I am proud to open my first boutique in India, after having served an international clientele, comprising of many members of the Indian elite, in over 40 years of activity.”

The company’s India operations’ president, Jackie Manglani, said, “The driving force behind bringing this globally established brand to India is the passion to do something extraordinary on my return, after being away from the country for 25 years.”

“India has come a long way in the fashion world today and people do appreciate high quality products. Stefano Ricci is all about expert craftsmanship and he strives for perfection in whatever he does,” he added.

A subtle blend of contemporary style and European mid-century elements, the newly inaugurated boutique is divided into three broad sections- menswear, home décor and bespoke.

The outlet offers a wide range of men’s suits, dress and casual shirts, jeans, polos, casualwear, neckties, exotic leather accessories as well as home furnishings and luxury linens.

Founded in 1972, the Italian label currently owns over 43 mono-brand boutiques worldwide. (PB)
