Organisers of Pure Shanghai said its second edition will be held in partnership with China International Fashion Fair (CHIC), China’s largest and most influential fashion trade show.

The three-day show will take place from October 13-15, 2015 at the newly-built National Exhibition & Conference Centre in the Honqiao District of Shanghai.

CHIC’s bi-annual shows welcome over 1,000 brands each season across menswear, womenswear, children’s wear and accessories, with insightful business forums, seminars and workshops.

Pure Shanghai will see international womenswear and accessory brands from outside of China showcasing their collections to key buyers, agents, distributors, franchisers and licensing partners.

The inaugural Pure Shanghai event in 2014, borne out of the success of long-established flagship show Pure London, welcomed over 50 British and international brands, with numbers set to grow for 2015.

“Over 30 per cent of exhibitors bagged orders from retailers attending the 2014 launch event and over 50 per cent met with key potential partners,” i2i Events, the organiser said in a press release.

Scottish lifestyle brand Ness and Korean womenswear label Choiboko are among those already confirmed for the October edition.

WGSN, with an established Chinese business, have been regular contributors to CHIC and will work closely with Pure Shanghai to deliver insight and trend analysis on Chinese and British fashion market.

Louise Young, divisional director for retail at i2i Events Group said, “We are delighted to announce the show’s partnership with CHIC and taking the show from strength to strength, going forward.”

A signing ceremony was held at CHIC last week, attended by Mark Shashoua, CEO of i2i Events Group and senior members of the show’s organising committee.

Chen Dapeng, executive vice president of China National Garment Association (CNGA) said, “We are extremely excited to be partnering with i2i Events Group to help deliver the Pure Shanghai concept as part of CHIC.

“We have been impressed with the initial steps Pure Shanghai has made into the Chinese market and believe that we can now create the fashion destination for the growing retail industry,” he added.

Pure Shanghai will continue to work with the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) to deliver matchmaking sessions for UK exhibitors. (AR)
