Monte Carlo opens first shop in Hyderabad

Premium apparel brand Monte Carlo Fashions Ltd, has launched its first exclusive brand outlet at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad, the media has reported.

The new store offers complete attire to the consumer offering the latest fashion trends for men, women and tweens (8-14 years).

Swapan Datta, president, retail, Monte Carlo Fashions Ltd said, “Monte Carlo is an established brand in North, Central & East India. Looking at young customers’ fashion taste and preference for aspirational brand like ours, we feel there is enormous business opportunity in Hyderabad region. We wish to gratify and offer our consumer a fulfilled shopping experience”.

Monte Carlo is part of the Punjab-based Nahar Group. It is available across 217 exclusive brand outlets and 1200 plus multi brand outlets in India and abroad.

Monte Carlo Fashions which announced its fourth quarter and full year FY15 results late last month, reported revenue growth of 15.8 per cent YoY at Rs 582.6 crore for the year ended March 31, 2015.

During the same period, MCFL reported EBIDTA of Rs 123.1 crore, up by 32.8 per cent as compared to FY14. Profit after tax grew by 9.9 per cent to Rs 59.7 crore in FY15.

The company reported healthy EBIDTA Margin in FY15 at 21.1 per cent. The profit after tax (PAT) mainly got affected due to higher depreciation as per the new Companies Act.

The board of directors declared the final dividend of 100 per cent (Rs 10 per equity share of face value of Rs.10 each fully paid up). The dividend payout is 36.36 per cent of the PAT, the company announced. (SH)
