The Woolmark Company is displaying its latest seasonal guide and also showcasing The Wool Lab Autumn/Winter 2016-17 at Pitti Filati being held from July 1 to 3 at stand I/20.

“In Normdecor, a contemporary and cosmopolitan woman redefines her concept of elegance through wearing structured but comfortable clothes with deluxe touches,” Woolmark Company said.
“While, Metropolitan Chalet presents a comfortable and classy style for metropolitan women,” it added in a press release.
It further said that the Androgyne leverages from the tradition of made-to-measure suits for classy women; and finally, wool accessories become the key item of the wardrobe in Complements.
Menswear is represented with two themes representing not only the versatility of the fibre but also the breadth of styles available in contemporary menswear.
The world of distinctive elegance is matched with a fresh contemporary touch in Posh and a more relaxed style that embodies the desire to return back to nature and its resources is expressed by the theme, Into the Wild.
Another theme, New Makers gives rise to emerging talent, celebrating the eclectic mix between old-world ways and modern thinking.
Just as the International Woolmark prize finalists combine past with present, and innovative materials with traditional handcraft, this trend welds 3D geometries with a patchwork of textile ideas in a modern spin on artisanal design.
The Wool Lab is created by The Woolmark Company in collaboration with the most innovative and quality-oriented spinners and weavers from across the world.

After the presentation at Pitti Filati, The Wool Lab AW16/17 will be presented at the most important trade shows worldwide.
