In the light of Olympic Games 2008 in China, famous sportswear brand of Japan, Mizuno plans to enlarge its business in China.
In 1996, Mizuno Group opened the first shop in Shanghai city.
CEO of Mizuno Group said that they would try to expand its franchisee shops and brand agents across the China to compete its rivals like Nike and adidas.
At present, Mizuno occupies around 7 percent of market share in China. The Group has planned to increase its total number of shops to 1200 by 2008, which is two times more than current number.
Leisure shoes and clothing are very popular in China, and hence, leisure series will be the main target of Mizuno Group.
