The season opens with an artisan-inspired look, worked in black, white, grey and rich chocolate brown with sunny highlights of mimosa and ochre.

Innovative fabric mixes give a crafted edge as exploded gingham checks, micro ticking stripes and melanged jersey are offset with wet-look silk lurex and chintzed cotton, double-weave linen and Japanese sand-wash denim.

The artist's tunic remains a key item for the summer, worked here in a grey and mimosa print with signature guipure trims and wooden buttons.

For a sportier look there is a wet-look cagoule shirtdress or a zipped-through melanged jersey hoodie dress. Outerwear is equally sportif with a chintzed parka and a soft blouson – perfect with the new flared leg jean or denim pencil skirt.

A strong graphic palette of black and white, undercut with vivid orange, turquoise and violet forms the basis of the new mood; a suitably eye-catching spectrum for the dynamic, 70s-inspired starburst print, contrast piping, rainbow buttons and sunray appliqué motifs that draw the collection together.

The look is a mix of soft ruffled dresses and blouses in printed silk georgette and crisp cotton drill suitings worked into shrunken jacket shapes featuring contrast reveres, appliqué trims and corset detailing.

Prints include a vivid bubble on a silk dress, circular stripe on a cape top and dramatic sunray striped batwing knit in all the highlights.

Summer is heralded by a fresh nautical story in a cool palette of grey, navy and boat blue, punctuated with zingy lime. Fabrics reflect the light summery look with seersucker and ticking stripes, eyelet cottons and silk linen blends.
