Jaeger London launches menswear collection

Jaeger London menswear collection evolves the brand's heritage with a clean modern handwriting, a keen focus on exclusive detailing and a sharper silhouette.

The look is contemporary but maintains the fresh English elegance inherent to the Jaeger label. Technical fabrics, a cool steely grey blue palette and sharp modern tailoring combine with luxury sportswear influences to give the latest collection an urban yet sophisticated twist.

Tailoring is refined, working the label's heritage in natural superfine wools, or in a sheened, shadow-striped silk linen blend to add surface interest to sleekly-cut silhouettes.

The season's suitings are complemented by the graphic qualities of a black and white jacquard weave shirt, an exclusive spot print on crisp cotton poplin and in soft tailored traditional linen shirts in pink, navy, mint or white.

The palette warms and intensifies via soft earth tones offset with pink accents for fluid lines, with an emphasis on detail and finish for lightweight summer layers.

Linen, silk and cotton give the collection a luxurious feel with the softest of finishes for subtle handle and drape, as superfine wool tailoring sits alongside the more casual approach of melanged polos, a herringbone drill jean and cool cotton poplin shirtings.

There are fashion details in the stand-alone shirts with epaulettes and chest pocket detailing, or the bib-front shirt in fine hairline cotton.

Changeable seasons have influenced the collection's outerwear; a lightweight, semi-tailored mac with leather piping and an immaculate technical blouson with petersham trim are both versatile pieces in any weather.

For more casual looks, subtle melanged textures give surface interest to cotton pique polo shirts in an understated mix of steel blue and grey.

The cardigan is a key layering piece for the season, worked in fine gauge cotton with striped tipping trims - a look that also works in Jaeger's update of the classic V-neck sweater. Jaeger London menswear – a contemporary collection honouring Jaeger's illustrious design heritage.
