Fourteen fashion shows and seven special-topic seminars highlight Hong Kong Fashion Week (HKFW) for Fall/Winter 2008 and World Boutique, Hong Kong 2008, January 14-17, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

More than 1,470 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions will take part in this year's Fashion Week, while World Boutique features 366 brands and more than 250 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions.

We cordially invite you to send a reporter and photographer/camera crew to cover the fair and related events.

All media representatives are requested to register at the press registration counters, located at Expo Drive Lobby in the HKCEC and outside Hall 5. Please bring along your name card or media card for registration.

For fashion shows, please arrive at the show venue 30 minutes before the show begins. Media space will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest 2008, January 14, is the annual event's 31st edition. This year, 18 contestants compete in three groups: the Casual and Jeans-wear Group, Contemporary Day Wear Group, and Party and Evening Wear Group.

Dai Xiao Yi, Cara G, Severa M, Ana Rivera, Rosemary Vandenbroucke, Lynn Xiong and Mikki Yao are among the top models taking part, while two fashion gurus are invited as this year's VIP judges: Maria Luisa Trussardi, President of Finos SpA, the financial holding of the Trussardi Group; and Japanese fashion designer Tsumori Chisato.

Those wishing to cover the contest must register at the entrance of Hall 5, January 14, at 7pm. (Admission begins at 7:15pm.) The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC) reserves the right to admit media according to space availability.
