CMP Asia to organize Pan-Asian Watch Salon, Sept 25 to 28

CMP Asia, one of Asia's leading exhibition organisers, has announced the launch of the Pan-Asian Watch Salon, to be staged from September 25 to 28, 2008 at The Cotai Strip Convention and Exhibition Centre at The Venetian in Macau.
Designed as a brand new business platform for internationally recognised watch brands, the Pan-Asian Watch Salon will host selected exhibitors and enable them to meet watch retailers from all over Asia, as well as invited collectors and aficionados.
"This will be a highly targeted event. It will be entirely about efficient meetings in the right ambience.'Salon', in this case, is certainly the most appropriate term to describe the platform that we are going to create," says Jerome Hainz, Event Manager.
The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH, through its Hong Kong office, FH Promotion, will act as consultant to the Pan-Asian Watch Salon. This cooperation will combine CMP's decades of event-organising experience with FH Promotion's insights into and knowledge of the fine watch industry.
"In Asia, there is certainly no lack of trade shows related to watches and jewellery - but organisers thus far have failed to understand the requests of the fine horology industry. In most cases, watches and clocks are considered to be just a part of a large trade exhibition. Luxury watch-makers, though, look for an event that will match their products in terms of quality, design and service," explains Thierry Dubois, Directorof FH Promotion.
