Modification of the Style Universes at CPD

Feb '08
Decisions made at CPD determine what shop windows in international retail will look like in Autumn and Winter 2008/09.

This makes the fair a platform for dialogue between fashion retail and the clothing industry, thereby underlining its key role in business-to-business communication.

New range planning and silhouettes in the fashion landscape as well as the magic word 'uptrading' contribute to the upward trend after a macro-economic phase with both 'light and shade'.

The CPD as an export hub will again assume a significant role in the globalisation measures. In terms of visitors CPD Düsseldorf is again very popular with renowned retailers who see Igedo Fashion Fairs Düsseldorf and the related location of Düsseldorf as indispensable.

Representatives of fashion houses like Albert Eickhoff (Eickhoff Königsallee, Düsseldorf) Richard Engelhorn (Engelhorn & Sturm, Mannheim), Michael Braun (Unger, Hamburg), Gerhard Kaiser (Modehäuser Kaiser, Freiburg), Peter Eberle (Konen, Munich) and Aribert Müller (Peek & Cloppenburg, Düsseldorf) all underlined the importance of CPD Düsseldorf in an independent survey.

Exhibitor Structure:
With 1,415 collections and exhibitors – a figure virtually consistent with that of the previous year (including Düsseldorf Fashion Houses 1 and 2) – hall layout has been made more compact.

CPD underlines its leading position worldwide and makes the complexity of fashion transparent through its segmentation into core areas and stylistic worlds. The world of fashion in Düsseldorf means 36 countries with their fashion manufacturers are presented at CPD.
