New fashion-forward footwear from Aetrex

This line combines Aetrex's unique pedorthic benefits, Mozaic Customization Technology, and advanced hi-tech materials and biomechanical features that provide the comfort, stability and shock attenuation needed during high impact activities.
Like most modern lifestyle advances, this story really starts with a technological breakthrough. In 2002, Aetrex partnered with the Israeli software team that invented ICQ (instant messaging) and brought to market a patented, digital foot analysis system that instantly identifies an individual's foot size, arch type and pressure points by using over 5000 pressure sensors and infrared LEDs.
"There are three essential elements about our feet that we need to know if we really want customized comfort foot size, arch type and where our pressure points are," says Schwartz. "Only then can we truly identify the footwear products that are ideal for our needs."
Three years ago, after Aetrex successfully launched the iStep and made it easy to identify thethree essentials for customized comfort; the company believed it was at a critical watershed. Schwartz continues, "In 2005 we were recognized as the leading footwear and footcare company to medical markets such as podiatrists, orthopedics and veteran's hospitals.
However, we always believed that consumers in the general public deserved access to the technology and biomechanical innovations that were benefiting the medical community."
It was at that point that Aetrex began recruiting top footwear designers with the goal of launching a comprehensive consumer footwear program that would appeal to anyone concerned about foot comfort or injury prevention.
