Vo Viet Chung launches spring collection
08
Feb '08
Vo Viet Chung, Vietnam's leading fashion designer recently showcased his first spring collection of 2008. His collection named 'Ngoc Vien Dong' or 'Eastern Pearl" was a breathtaking sight for the onlookers.

Viet Chung has beautifully combined in his designs tradition with modernity. Vietnamese Ao Dai merged with European chic gown. His elegant dresses will also be displayed in Miss Universe 2008.

As this is a spring collection, one can see a band of bright colours dominating his designs. Be it the petal pink, apricot yellow, fiery red or soothing shades of blue all are present in his creations. The material which is widely used is silk, a traditional Vietnamese fabric.

The garments have flowery prints which are adorned with precious stones. The craftsmen have done this work on collar, sleeves and waist.

Vo Viet Chung has done this kind of innovation for the first time in his Long Dresses. While creating the designs his inspiration was Vietnamese as well as European women of 60s and 70s.
