In the Jewelry division, turnover at the 203 Christ stores was up by 4.4 percent. This includes the quarter's sales from the two stores acquired from René Kern. Excluding this contribution, Christ posted a 1.8 percent sales gain over the previous year's period.

In the Fashion division, the 15 womenswear stores operated by Appelrath-Cüpper saw sales decline by 6.5 percent, partly as the result of adverse conditions in their market.
