The Peacocks and Pinstripes photo exhibition which began yesterday at the Fashion and Textile Museum (FTM), in Bermondsey Street will run till May 31. In association with Getty Images Gallery, the frames capture the fashion trends of men from 1930's till date.

One of the purposes of holding this event is to bring the men fashion to the front as it's not given due importance. Right from black and white classic pictures of celebrities to the present day young and dynamic photos, one can trace down the change from gracefulness to glamour during last 70 years. From simple cuts of past to well tailored and crafted suits of present, the images speak themselves of the transition, fashion has gone through.

The exhibition not only has pictures by legendry photographers but it also showcases the work of upcoming and talented photographers.

The Fashion and Textile Museum which was closed for two years, is now operated by Newham College. It is an education, exhibition and visitor centre for present-day fashion, textiles and jewellery lovers. FTM was previously run by the famous English designer Zandra Rhodes.

The visitors can enrich themselves through a permanent FTM collection which includes garments from museum founder Zandra Rhodes's own collection.
