VAUDE & EDELRID - successful brand affiliation

As of January 2008, retailers will benefit from a unified shipment control system: the entire VAUDE assortment and the EDELRID mountain sports program will be delivered from one distribution centre at the VAUDE headquarters in Tettnang.
VAUDE and EDELRID retailers can order these products in one step and they will be delivered in one package. Our VAUDE and EDELRID customers will benefit from lower delivery costs, the high tech logistics with a short delivery time, as well as a high rate of availability.
The international distribution of EDELRID products will be significantly strengthened by the synergy of this alliance. Together with VAUDE, EDELRID has harmonised its distribution network and expanded it to over 20 countries. In the most important European markets (Italy, Spain, France, Czech Republic, The Netherlands, Switzerland, etc.) both product assortments will be distributed from one point, largely from long-term VAUDE partners.
EDELRID and VAUDE are also working closely together in marketing, including collaborative media campaigns and events, sponsoring, and cooperation with climbing halls and mountain schools. VAUDE and EDELRID have been the official outfitter for the DAV's Climbing Cadre since January 2008. Well-known athletes are already under contract by both brands.
These include the Boulder World Master Kilian Fischhuber who has been a VAUDE sponsor partner for years, and Climbing World Cup winner Angela Eiter, as well at the German top-climbers Christian and Andreas Bindhammer, who have long been EDELRID partners. Standing shoulder to shoulder, VAUDE and EDELRID are working for environmental responsibility. In September 2007 both companies began an Eco-Audit, with the goal of even further improving their environmental track records.
