Ms. Birkett as Event Director for HBA Global Expo

"I'm looking forward to initiating some new offerings that will enrich our customers' face-to-face experience at the HBA Global events including a more dynamic attendee and exhibitor 'match-making' service, digital marketing opportunities, buzz-worthy and interactive networking events, and customized programs and services."
HBA Global Expo is the most important product development event for the cosmetics, fragrance, personal care and wellness industries. Showcasing everything from formula to finish, each year HBA attracts more than 16,000 beauty and personal care marketing and R&D professionals from all over the world.
In 2008, HBA presents its Spring Conference on Well-Being and Prestige Packaging, its 16th Annual exposition and educational conference September 9, 10, 11 at the Javits Center in New York and its 7th Annual HBA Industry Awards Dinner on September 9th at the Marriott Marquis.
Prior to joining HBA Global, Ms. Birkett was a founding partner of Unicomm LLC a company specializing in launch events.
She was responsible for the debuts of RD&D Expo, in conjunction with ASME, as well as the World Genomics Conference and Exposition.
She most recently co-managed the "Adventure Expo" event series featuring more than 1,500 exhibitors and 85,000 attendees across 4 major U.S. cities..
In addition she has held management positions in sales, operations, customer service and database management for major corporationssuch as Marriott Hotels & Resorts as well as for start-up ventures such as b-there.com.
Ms. Birkett obtained her college degree from St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana. She resides in Stamford, CT with her husband and two sons.
