Fematex – International Materials Fair for the Textile and Apparel Industry will hold its first edition March 25-28, 2008.
Its proposal is to be a fair that is integrated with textile materials, technology and services geared towards creation in the apparel industry and fashion trends. It will introduce both launches and information for the 2008/2009 winter collection.
The event has the support of ABIT, which through Texbrasil, a program developed in partnership with Apex-Brasil, will bring international buyers to the Fair. SENAI and the SCMC – Santa Catarina Contemporary Fashion Project also support Fematex.
The fair represents an opportunity for area professionals to get to know, under a single roof, the most modern concepts in special yarns, fabrics, notions, printing, embroidery, chemicals, technology and services, with the objective of increasing added value in the textile industry.
National and international companies will present their differences in product and service development geared towards the sector. Seventy exhibiters have been confirmed.
“Fematex was planned to be an integration event, giving strength back to the fashion trend and apparel industry value chain.
Brazil has the largest textile chain industrial park in Latin America and it is strategically very important to hold an integrated event to serve professionals who work in the creation and product development areas," comments Ulrich Khun, president of SINTEX.
