Heelys Inc, the youth sports lifestyle company, continues to pave the way in sidewalk sports gear with the company's latest innovation, MaxTrax Technology. Heelys Sidewalk Sports footwear line features a revolutionary grip technology and is geared toward sidewalk sports enthusiasts who want to focus on their moves, rather than if their feet will stick to their gear.

Whether it's riding a bike, skateboard, or scooter, the Sidewalk Sports line is designed to help feet stay in-place. The product line features a grippy rubber outsole with both athletic inspired designs and traditional skate designs. Heelys Sidewalk Sports will be in stores just in time for back-to-school and are the perfect shoe for casual school days and sidewalk sports after school and on weekends.

“The Sidewalk Sports line is just what the market has been missing," said Don Carroll, SVP Marketing for Heelys, Inc. “There are several different brands of shoes out there, but none of them offer design and technology quite like our MaxTrax technology.

As an innovator in sidewalk activities, Heelys wants to continue to push design and technology to the next level and offer kids products that will enhance their skills and increase their enthusiasm for physical activity.”

The Sidewalk Sports line is available in five styles, each featuring the grippy rubber bottom. The “Blitz” and “Moto” styles both offer removable anti-bacterial insoles that every parent will love for its machine washable construction.

The “Ripped” style offers a more athletic look with a grip fin pad, suede and leather uppers with 5 colors sure to attract both girls and boys. The “Gecko” and “Gila” feature a more traditional skate look with leather upper and faux vulcanized midsole in graffiti prints and a grippy rubber bottom.
