Austin Reed returns to Fenchurch Street

Austin Reed has returned to its city roots with the opening of a brand new 2,500 sq ft store in Fenchurch Street on 25th February 2008.

Fenchurch Street was the home of the first Austin Reed store in the 1900's and marked the beginning of a remarkable transformation from a traditional business into a dynamic and progressive group, boasting over 90 outlets in the UK with international licensees across the globe.

The new store will stock Austin Reed's latest men's and women's collections with a focus on exquisite and footwear from Church and Cheaney.

Commenting on the new store, Group Retail Operations Director, Amanda Macleod Smith says: “Fenchurch Street is the birth place of Austin Reed, it is a key market for us and holds fond memories for Austin Reed. We are very excited about the new store and look forward to customers welcoming our long awaited return.”

The store launches with a live Made to Measure window highlighting the acclaimed tailoring service available in store.

To celebrate the launch Austin Reed is offering a free blazer with every Made to Measure suit purchased from 25th February - 31st March and 20% off all purchases from 25th - 29th February 2008.

Austin Reed is straying from its bookish look. The firm makes and sells mostly menswear, which accounts for most of sales, under the Austin Reed brand.

Men's products include tailored suits, jackets and slacks, and formalwear, as well as eyewear, fragrances, and accessories such as belts, cufflinks, and socks, underwear, and leather goods. Women's products include high-end, 1950's inspired shirts, blouses, and matching separates, under the Austin Reed and CC (formerly Country Casuals) labels.
