Wills lifestyle Fashion Week (WIFW) is a well-known platform for designers who want to showcase their platter of creations to fashion conscious people. Every season it comes up with the latest designs for men and women.

The Autumn/Winter 2008 fashion bonanza is the 11th edition, will be held in New Delhi from March 12 to 16. Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is organizing the fashion fiesta and Wills Lifestyle of the ITC Group is sponsoring it. This time around 87 renowned as well as upcoming designers are participating, to add grandeur and glamour to the show.

Fibre2fashion, took the initiative to get in touch with three budding designers who will be participating in this coveted fashion show, to know more about what they are going to portray this time.

Alpana, who had already received all the accolades for her label 'Azara' quite enthusiastically told, “This time my theme is based on architecture and if you ask me about the inspiration, I will say Landscape. Colours of course are subtle and pastel shades like old rose, off white, vintage ice blue which will be in sync with the theme.

"I have chosen fabrics like net, brocade, satin and jacquard which would highlight my concept of knee length dresses and jackets”.

Nitin Bal Chauhan shared a different story. He focused on a different theme altogether, the sad status of craft and craftsmen. "Awe inspiring mistiness of Himalayan tribes, helped me to create a colourful collection. A mixture of gothic and folk in woolen fabric, with extensive use of appliqué work will be able to draw attention of fashion lovers”.
