An understated and wearable Autumn/Winter collection by Namrata Joshipura. Her garments reflect a “you get what you see” attitude. The designer has skillfully put together a combination of subtle glamour and admirable elegance.
The contemporary silhouettes ranged from being fitted at the waist to baggy dresses and the colours were very wearable. Fitted jackets with dramatic collars and varied lengths along with bubble shape dresses were interesting. Detailing in the sleeves added to the designer's vision of her own expression of that special love for her design ideas.
In the collection, the designer exhibited soft tones of sand and slate interspersed with bursts of bright pop colours in teal and electric magenta.
The gold dresses were refreshingly understated and not at all over the top while the smokey grey dresses gave an impression of soft molten slate wrapped around the body.
The fabrics were in unusual combinations of ochres and pinks. Luxurious satins, wool and supple leather gave a much intended sense of introspection.
The garments were adorned in sequined patterns and did not overpower the look of the collection. In fact, it beautifully fused together sheen and shimmer.
Namrata has dexterously provided a range of garments that allow her to display her talent. On one hand we saw off shoulder dresses in slate greys and on the other a leather bullet jacket teamed with an embroidered skirt.
An overall look atthe collection truly reflects Namrata Johipura's theme of Modern Love and is definitely dependable and very very genuine.
