Zubin captures timeless classics in soft hues

The collection of Zubair Kirmani for his label Bounipun demonstrated his known talent for simple yet effective interpretation of geometrics and linear motifs into appealing surface treatment.
Circles, squares and lines were used to create overall graphic patterns in tonal prints and refined surface ornamentation. Lustrous silk fabrics were carefully cut and constructed into simple classic sheaths, shift dresses and tunics. The contours neglected standard cut patterns and followed the natural body curves instead thus creating elegant ageless silhouettes.
Garment surfaces were interestingly fragmented through folds and pleats which resulted in subtle light and shadow effects and an almost hepatic appeal.
Zubair's colour palette had subdued tones including greys, non colours and neutrals. Warm red hues completed the rich tasteful colour selection.
The wearable occasion wear outfits are timeless classics and most suitable for cocktail and evening events.
