The designer duo Gunjan & Rahul brought about a vivid world of harmonious colour combinations.
A range of soft flowing dresses and ensembles cut from rich and well falling crepe fabrics came in a kaleidoscope of warm flamboyant colours.
Lush tones inspired by fruits and vegetables such as papaya, mint, lemon, pistiacchio, olive and dark chocolate were skillfully combined to create well-balanced feminine styles.
Apart from the consistently used contemporary fashion details like gathered necklines, tapered hems and contrasting satin bindings, one could make out carefully scribble-like irregular lines which were embroidered to highlight tops and hemlines and thus created a signature look for this collection.
Another feature which could be observed throughout were colour contrasting narrow fabric belts which elegantly kept pants and skirts in place.
Silhouettes were generally kept simple, straight and easy on the eye as well as the body.
Sensibly designed panelled dresses and a sari which came in colour blocking had only hints of sparkle which enhanced the composed balanced appeal.
The understated treatment of fabrics and color combinations gave a sophisticated and emotional edge to this elegant feminine collection for fall 08.
