Trendy urban dandy for Grand Finale

Ashish Soni: Extravaganza will be there in ebony, charcoal, asphalt, smoke, bitter chocolat oxidized silver with flashing reds, magentas, oranges and royal blues for fall 08!
Sophisticated clean silhouettes created a crisp atmosphere of urban dandy. The dark colored outfits were sleek and fitted perfectly to the body of then wearer. High quality treatments emphasized on silhouettes and surface detailing.
The interplay of fabrics and surfaces reflected a European as well as an Indian influence and brought together both the aesthetics which could be seen in smartly cut jackets with ¾ sleeves and prominently back extensions with flowing cowls.
Two tone woven fabrics were used for elegant evening shirts with fitted jackets worn over cigarette pants. Subtle jacquards in black made a strong style statement for a clean, sharp and edgy contemporary club wear.
Anamika Khanna: Darks, blue blacks, charcoal and blacked out brights was the color palette introduces by Anamika Khanna to portray a deep and intense collection for the evening.
Silhouettes with avant-garde detailings in terms of tonal surface treatment, asymmetric hemlines, diagonal cuts, big front tiered frills, graduated back extensions, dropped waists and fishtail flounces could be seen. Textures and quirky graphic prints alternated with extreme metallics in pewter.
Wrap around skirts, cigarette pants, regular sheats and shift dresses as well as fitted jackets, structuredcoats and bandhgalas with contrasting topstitching details added a metro-sexual bling.
Satin dupions, jacquards, silks, sandwiched textured cottons, organzas and georgette were used to create the first segment of the show while cashmere in knit and woven, melton wool custom dyed, viscose knits, flannel wool, self checked modal and specially created geometric self silk jacquards translated the design ideas for the second segment. A premium range of feminine and stylish cocktail wear.
