Damas bags prestigious MRM Award in re-export category

Damas, the leading international jewellery retailer in the Middle East, is the only jeweller that has been awarded the prestigious Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Award in re-export category at the award's presentation ceremony held at the Monarch Hotel in Dubai.

The award was organised by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

It is conferred on companies and organisations that make significant contribution to national development. A total of 39 companies were nominated for the awards from which the judging panel selected the winners based on management and performance criteria.

Tawhid Abdullah, Managing Director of Damas, received the award from HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Group, at an impressive ceremony attended by top government officials, foreign dignitaries, members of the Board of Directors of Dubai Chamber, representatives of business councils and trade centres as well as members of the media.

Tawhid Abdullah noted: "We are honoured to receive this accolade and look forward to many years of making more significant contribution to the nation.
