Net revenues for McRae military boot business up

Consolidated gross profit for the second quarter of fiscal 2008 increased to $6.2 million, up from $5.0 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2007. This improvement in gross profit resulted primarily from the increase in net revenues and lower military boot per unit production costs.
Consolidated operating costs and expenses for the second quarter of fiscal 2008 were $3.9 million as compared to $3.7 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2007. Increased sales compensation costs, employee benefit charges, and advertising expenditures were partially offset by reduced research and development costs and professional fees.
As a result of the above, consolidated operating profit grew from $1.3 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2007 to $2.2 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2008.
