Young designers to arrive in Bradford for SDC Global Design Competition

Comments Chris Sargeant, SDC vice-president fashion/design, 'We are very excited to be the catalyst for competitions such as this that encourage new design talent and help better prepare students for their future careers in the fashion industry.'
As part of their prize, the finalists are now invited to the grand final and the winner will be announced on Friday 18 April. This will take place at the awards dinner in Bradford following on from the Society's Day of Celebration.
The work of all the finalists will be exhibited for the duration of the event and will also soon be available in the SDC online gallery. The SDC Colour Design Award 2008 will go to the global winner, with a cash prize of £1000 plus the Veronica Bell Award.
