Mr Pranav Bhargav, General Manager of Srenuj expressed doubt saying, “Despite Akshaya Tritiya, sales might not be overwhelmingly superb but certainly, there will be a surge of 10-12 percent compared to the regular sales.”
Even banks are making the most of the occasion. Nearly 20-30 percent of them have forayed in the retail gold market and ICICI bank has followed suit hitting on the festival which presents a lucrative business proposition. On offer are various gold coins of 8, 20 and 50 grams. Besides, the bank is also putting up for sale, coins embossed with image of Goddess Laxmi. This apart it is also offering special discount on payments made through credit card of ICICI bank.
