IML is excited to announce that Andy Bell, one half of Erasure fame, has signed to appear at the 30th International Mr. Leather Contest on Sunday, May 25th!

• 30th Annual International Mr. Leather
• May 22 – 26, 2008 in Chicago

Originally employed in a meat packing plant in England, Bell responded to a newspaper ad looking for a singer. Picked by Vince Clarke, they went on to form the group Erasure and the rest is music history. Together they have sold over twenty million albums worldwide. In 2005, Bell released his first solo album “Electric Blue.” His 2005 single, “Crazy,” made it to no. 3 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play charts.

In 2007, Bell and Clarke released their 'dance oriented' album “Light at the End of the World,” which led to a world tour that same year. Once they have a chance to settle a bit after this world tour, they plan to start work on their next album and Clarke has hinted it may be a “concept album of nursery rhymes they have been working on for some time.”

Legendary Club DJ Tony Moran set for House of Blues Victory Party:
Part of the annual IML celebration is the Sunday night post-contest Victory Party, hosted once again by the House of Blues. Making his first ever appearance at IML is world-renowned Grammy nominated DJ/Producer, Tony Moran. Those who know his work, also know the depth of his talents as a remixer, songwriter and singer.

He has written and remixed for some of the world's greatest artists including Madonna, Janet Jackson, The Latin Rascals, Rhianna, Mariah Carey, Cher and many others. He has toured dance floors around the world and, this year, he brings his amazing talents to IML.
