Sew your dreams with Apoena

The brand from Brasília, Apoena, by stylist Kátia Ferreira, brought a light and very loose collection to the catwalk, with ruffles and pleats.

The dresses are knee-length and the three-quarter length skirts, or simply godet, but there are also long options, straight pants, vests and shirts.

Many overlays and embroideries summarize the collection that stands out with its finishing, especially the manual embroidery made of cooperative artisans.

In this collection, the embroideresses are inspired by the chosen theme, the future, and they embroidered their own dreams using a cross-stitch: health, seeing the ocean again, buying a little house, happiness, a better life.

In other looks, we see the delicate work of crocheted flowers on raw and dyed cottons.

Actually, besides the flat fabric, tulle and ecologically correct cotton knits are also used. Plenty of white and off-white.

The most colorful models have delicate prints with butterflies, flowers and other graphic art linked to picnics.

History of the brand: Apoena (which in Tupi-Guarani means “he who sees far”) began in 2004 with the social proposal of training and employing low-income women from the satellite cities in the Federal District, guaranteeing the support of several families and the putting minors back in school.
