Passion and obsession in Melk Zda's collection

How far is a woman capable of going for love? What are the limits between passion and obsession? Melk Zda was inspired by Camile Claudel's sculpture who went insane with passion for her art and by Rodin (French sculptor).

The brand's 2009 summer collection, entitled "I love too much", presented 21 looks using materials like organza, satin and tulle to privilege the shapes of the body, especially the back.

The models are cleaner cut, closer to the body, however always with organic structure in their construction, with asymmetrical layers of fabrics, different widths of folds, twisted sashes, manual applications of embroideries and other relief structures.

The textures in resin suggest the presence of marble broken by the hundreds sewn patches. Passion's insanity was translated by models full of tied bundles, as if they were straight jackets.

The soft color chart comes in hues of marble, light gray, blue, beige and also a coral to brighten things up.
