WLCI hosts Glamorista 2008 Fashion extravaganza

WLC College India (WLCI) celebrated Glamorista 2008 - its annual fashion show, exhibiting the ensembles of the graduating students of the Fashion School in Bangalore.
The event, held at the Taj Gateway, was attended by luminaries from the Fashion fraternity and the glitterati of the city.
'Glamorista 2008' was choreographed by Prasad Bidapa and featured Bangalore's supermodels; Ashley, Jessica, Nadika, Priya Nair, Tina, Rebecca, Rithika, Smitha and Tara who displayed collections of the graduating students.
Prasad Bidapa, also the emcee for the evening, gave the young designers a feisty introduction in his inimitable style.
Glamorista is a celebration of the creativity of the students and applauds their entry into the professional world as young fashion designers.
The Chief Guest for the event was His Highness Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wodeyar. Before the show, the collections were critically reviewed and evaluated by an independent external jury comprising of highly respected names from the fashion world including Paresh Lamba, Nirmal Mandoth, Raj Shroff and Vheena Bhat.
Eminent personalities like Deepika Govind, Leena Singh, Ramesh Dembla, Lokesh Ahuja, Simran Bhurani, Manoviraj Khosla, Gauri Kapoor, Vidya Sagar, Himanshu, Sonali, Prathima and Mayank Modi, Saritha Mandoth, Pavithra Halkate, to name a few, added further glamour to the show with their presence.
WLC Chairman, Mr. Vinay Pasricha, CEO Ms. Malobika Sengupta, Regional Director (South) Mr. Brahm Sharma and Fashion HOD Ms. Kajal Gupta shared this proud moment with the students.
Expressing his happiness at this event, Mr. Vinay Pasricha, Chairman, WLC College India, said, "It is a proud moment for all of us at WLC Fashion School.
This is a great way of applauding the talented group of young designers whose creativity is being showcased at this event. I sincerely wish the students a bright future and thank the faculty for their able guidance and the sponsors for lending support in making Glamorista '08 a huge success"
