Cameos, memories, delicate tokens and emotions are kept in musical boxes. At the sound of notes played softly, the fragile dancing ballerina turns until the windup key stops, and a new dance starts: a metaphor for the beginning of the new season.

That is the inspiration for Priscilla Darolt's romantic summer, guided by the wish of building the image of more fragile women without nevertheless losing the fashion designer's transgressive core.

In the Hard Candy ballet, like the development of some choreography, the fashion designer cleans the lyric movements until she reaches an essential silhouette without excesses, mathematically visualized.

Her ballerinas wear padded shoulders based on tailored techniques, which go from ballet tutus illustrated by short bell-shaped skirts - to outfits that are really simple - as classic pants, which play the codes of elegance and androgyny.

Chains embroider the clothes in a reference to the fashion designer's desire for a more rockabilly mood.

Among cutouts, darts and the subtleties that compose the design of her personal catalogue, Priscilla Darolt selected silk and satin cotton as the fabrics that give life to the collection looks.

Cameos are the motif for the exclusive patterns as well as the form of jewelries in the shape of bows in Cartier style.

The color palette brings forth ocher shades with wine and sky blue lights. Heavy boot-like sandals, with buckles, give the finishing touch to the hard side of the ballerinas proposed by the fashion designer, who believes in the twin principles of simplicity and structure as the ideal formula for the 2009 summer wardrobe.
