California Design College earns a new name!

California Design College has been renamed The Art Institute of California - Hollywood. "With plans to grow significantly in the coming years, The Art Institute of California - Hollywood seeks to prepare students to become art and design professionals in the entertainment and related fields," says President Gregory J. Marick.
"The connection to Hollywood transcends geographic boundaries and captures the spirit of an industry which was born here but swelled into a world-wide 'mega-industry.' Our new name reflects this scope and the niche we expect to serve."
Many programs offered by The Art Institute of California - Hollywood are geared toward the entertainment industry including Visual Effects & Motion Graphics, Set & Exhibit Design and Fashion Design classes focused on costuming. With specialized focus in media arts, design, and fashion fields, the school is positioned to serve the entertainment industry.
Kate Guerrero, Director of Career Services, believes that "The Art Institute of California - Hollywood brand will benefit both students and potential employers. This powerful name connects us to our system of schools as well as to a location synonymous with entertainment."
Graduates from The Art Institute of California - Hollywood have found numerous professional opportunities awaiting them after graduation. The school's future is best represented by many past graduates. A
riela Hayes (Digital Apparel Associate of Science, 2003 graduate), currently a fashion design product developer in downtown Los Angeles, stated, "The new name provides more recognition in the creative atmosphere surrounding Hollywood. I am happy to see how the product and design of students continually improves."
Hayes continues to be involved with students at The Art Institute of California - Hollywood, serving as judge at the 2008 student fashion show and on a professional advisory committee for fashion design.
