On 2-4 September 2008, the grounds of the Poznan International Fair will be the venue for the largest meeting of the footwear and leather sector conducive to the exchange of experience and views about current developments in the industry and to planning operation strategies for the upcoming season.

The meeting will also be an opportunity to establish new business contacts and to strengthen relations with existing business partners.

We are convinced that the larger the group of Polish exhibitors, the greater the interest on the part of domestic and foreign traders, says Edyta Bonin-Kanikowska, Director of the Fair of Shoes, Leather and Leather Goods.

The autumn edition of the Fair of Shoes, Leather and Leather Goods in Poznan promises to be successful. So far, almost 150 companies offering footwear, approx. 50 companies producing collections of accessories and clothes and almost 50 representatives of tanning shops and companies offering machinery and accessories for the footwear and leather sector have registered to the show. This is more than at around the same time last year.

Polish traders are the most numerous visitors, but the popularity of the show among foreign visitors is growing every year.

Representatives of trade companies from the following countries participate in the show: Slovakia, Italy, Lithuania, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia, Canada, the Netherlands, Belarus, France, Great Britain, Romania, Sweden, Estonia and Portugal.

These are usually decision-makers coming to the show with well set marketing and commercial objectives.

The organisers of the September show have prepared an interesting programme of accompanying events. Lucio Righetto, a renowned Italian footwear stylist and designer will be a special guest of the show.

He will present trends for spring-summer 2009 and autumn-winter 2009/10. Numerous seminars will focus on effective sales (from psychology of sales, through talking to difficult clients, up to errors in the approach of sales assistants), arrangement of shop windows and marketing.

Moreover, daily shows will create an opportunity to see exhibited collections up close. As always, the second day of the fair will finish with the Business Evening.

Its style will surprise exhibitors while attractions planned by the organisers will be remembered for long.
