Melbourne Airport and The Nuance Group celebrated the opening of their new duty free Arrivals store on July 16. The impressive new store offers the customer a large range of great value liquor, fragrance, confectionery and tobacco along with a full range of cosmetics, excellent deals on a range of consumer electronics and a selection of watches and sunglasses.

The store layout tempts shoppers with savings throughout and an innovative area for last minute gift ideas for family and friends.

On the day of its opening, the store greeted visitors and passengers with cocktails and chocolate tastings, mini massages, entertainment and competitions to highlight the energising and welcoming nature of the store.

Airport CEO Chris Woodruff commented, “This is the best Arrivals store in Australia and arguably the most convenient and engaging Arrivals store in the world. The store welcomes every arriving passenger and gives a great first impression of Melbourne.”

For the returning traveller the Ready for Collection service has been enhanced with a new Collections desk and an increased focus on this service in the Departures store. “Customers find this service exceptionally convenient, shopping on departure, carrying less and collecting on their return,” explained Jann Fisch, CEO The Nuance Group Australia & New Zealand.

“The Arrivals store is designed based on our insights of how customers want to shop on Arrival, offering great deals across a broad range of products, easy access and visibility from the walkway and a rapid shopping experience.”
