Dubai Fashion gala gets a groovy greet

Dubai Fashion Fiesta 2008, the most awaited fashion extravaganza, concluded successfully on July 27 with large crowds thronging the World Trade Center, the chosen venue.
The second day of the event saw popular Indian designer Preeti Chandra and Dutch designer, Larisa Karts exhibit their world class collection to fashion fads present for the occasion.
The fashion line presented by Preeti Chandra featured an array of bright colors that stood for a blend of traditional and contemporary designs and were showcased at the opening event for the evening.
Larisa Karts' collection rocked at the second show following Preeti's, where the audience got an insight to the designer's signature use of different fabrics to communicate aspects of her creations.
Dubai Fashion Fiesta 2008 entered the third day on July 26 as Falguni & Shane Peacock took the ramp in the first show of the day displaying their exclusive line dominated by vibrant prints and flowing garments.
Deeya Nanda, and Dutch designer Jessica Joyce also took their turns to enthrall the audience with their exotic creations.
The four day long fashion fiesta concluded with SARV Atelier (India), Mystic Mantra (India), and Amato (UAE) brands exhibiting their exquisite collection. While SARV Atelier brand had debuted in Mumbai by meticulously combining Indian motifs, Mystic Mantra is a bespoke fashion label created by first female designer duo Priyanka Shah and Ruchita in 2006. Amato, on the other hand, is a local brand that caters to the elite and displayed its collection in ladies couture wear.
