Verona KFS bags coveted 'Best Debut' Award

The global editors of Runner's World magazine, the worldwide authority on running information, have chosen both the men's and women's models of the Reebok Premier Verona KFS as “Best Debut.” This prestigious award is given to the new shoe line that represents the most promising new addition to its category. The award is announced in the September 2008 issue of Runner's World, which hits newsstands tomorrow.
Both Men's and Women's Premier Verona KFS, which hit retail in July 2008, feature Reebok's groundbreaking KineticFIT (KFS) technology. KineticFIT provides a fit system that accommodates the changes in size and shape of an athlete's foot as it moves. From impact through toe-off, the foot can change up to half a shoe size. KineticFIT construction makes use of a series of engineered stretch panels positioned in key areas of the shoe, which allow the shoe to respond and move naturally with the foot.
One product tester quoted in Runner's World's review said of the men's Verona, “I have never had a shoe that fits this well.” The women's model received much of the same praise. One tester commented, “I've never worn a shoe that is this comfortable.”
Runner's World said the Verona KFS “received high marks from the RW Shoe Lab, from wear testers and from Runner's World editors,” and concluded that “both the Men's and Women's Reebok Premier Verona KFS represent a promising new addition to its category.”
Since introducing its Premier Line of Running footwear in 2003, Reebok has won numerous awards for its Premier running footwear collection, including the coveted “Editor's Choice” award for Trinity KFS (2006) from Runner's World, “Shoe of the Year” for the Premier Road in Runner's World UK (2006), and the “Editor's Choice” for the Premier Road and Premier Road Lite in Runner's World USA (2006).
“When we developed KFS, we knew we had something that was truly innovative and would deliver a fit that was unlike any competitive products on the market,” said Reebok Vice President of Individual Sport Andre Mossiat.
“With the Verona KFS, we have taken this unique technology and incorporated it into a shoe that we are very proud of – one that we think consumers will find to be among the most comfortable and best performing shoes they have ever worn.”
Runner's World tested shoes from a number of top brands, before choosing the Verona KFS as “Best Debut,” all of which were put through rigorous testing by Runner's World editors, its 350 “wear-testers” and its one-of-a-kind Runner's World Shoe Lab.
The Reebok Premier Verona KFS is available at running specialty shops and other retailers.
